Mission Statement: To protect and enhance the natural resources of the district and to educate the public about natural resource concerns.

I 310 Management
A. Continue to review and revise 310 application cover letter and decision letter
To include more information regarding the 310 Law; return application if not
complete.

B. Develop a written document describing the process for tracking the final
inspections.

II Education
A. Adult
1.Work with Jon Hanson and Eastern Sanders CD to develop a workshop
that addresses small acreage management including weed control and
Riparian education issues.

2. Continue providing the public with a public forum addressing water
issues.

B. Develop and continue working sessions with County Commissioners,
And Surveyors focusing on how we can be more effective in
implementing buffer and setback covenants in subdivisions.

C. Youth
1. Water Festival
When: Begin Planning in March; schedule in October

2. Envirothon Teams, mini Envirothon workshop, Range Camp and
Natural Resource Youth Camp for Noxon and TF High Schools

D. Supervisor/Associate Supervisors:
1. Increase knowledge of subdivision process, laws and waste water, floodplain and water quality issues
2. Develop and/or support Supervisor/Associate Supervisor training or
education opportunities whenever possible.

III Watershed
A. The district works with the Elk Creek, Prospect Creek, Trout Creek, Whitepine Creek, Rock Creek, Pilgrim Creek, Bull River
And Little Beaver Creek Watershed Councils, as well as the all- encompassing “umbrella” organization: Lower Clark Fork Watershed Group (LCFWG).

G. Continue representation on the Clark Fork Settlement Agreement (Avista). Invite Tim Swant to come to a GMCD meeting.

H. Continue involvement with the Local Working Group for Sanders County
(NRCS, ESCD, County Extension, FSA) emphasizing priorities of:
1. Water
2. Stream bank preservation
3. Land Use/Subdivision
4. Small timber stands
Note: Weed, wildlife and fisheries issues would be incorporated into each
of the above listed priorities.
